Dough
- 1 1/2 eggs
- 3/4 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups flours
- 7 tbs butter, melted
Filling
- 3 large honey crisp apples
- 2 tbs lemon juice
- 1/4 cup sugar
- a few dashes of cinnamon
Instructions
- For the dough, whisk the sugar and eggs until the color becomes a creamy-white.
- Add in the flour and butter, and mix until Gough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for about one hour to let harden.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Spray a 9" pie pan with cooking spray and spread the dough in.
- For the filling, slice the apples into a 1/4".
- Layer the apples over the dough in a circular motion, beginning from the inside, going out.
- Once all the apples are in the pan, put lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon over them.
- Bake on 400 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
Notes
- If the dough is too soft, place back in the fridge to let sit until it's hard enough. The dough can stay in the fridge, uncooked, up to three days.
- If the crust starts to burn in the oven, put tinfoil over it and continue to bake.
